About Jim

A Class of 2000 graduate from CSU Chico, Jim started working at a medium sized full-service firm in the Structural Engineering Department and was exposed to Residential, Commercial, and numerous other special projects. After obtaining P.E. licensure in 2002, Jim went on to work briefly for a small engineering firm before launching his own firm, Structural Designs in 2004.

When it comes to the field of structural engineering, Jim’s project diversity far exceeds that of a typical engineer with more than 25 years experience. Having engineered and reviewed more than 1,000 projects from historic building retrofits to telecommunications sites, Jim brings an invaluable engineering perspective to any problem requiring an engineered solution.

Jim has found continued success working closely with Architects, Contractors, and Consultants in large part due to his personal approach. He developed an excellent reputation in the field for being very responsive and for turning out projects faster than the competition.

Jim’s deadline driven approach, combined with the numerous customized calculation and drawing templates, allows him to be efficient with the workload. His technical experience, willingness to work with others, and strong interpersonal communication skills are essential in keeping a cohesive team in alignment and achieving project success.

Sheeba Shami is an accomplished professional in Civil and Structural Engineering having
experience of more than 22 years. She has experience in analyzing and designing a wide
range of projects using various construction materials in accordance with American building
codes. Her extensive portfolio includes analysis and design of multi-story structures,
specialized telecom structures, commercial and industrial complexes, and residential single
family dwellings, earth and flood retention structures, remodel and seismic retrofit structures.
With a focus on safety and code compliances, Sheeba has a proven track record of
successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

Nelson Silva

Seasoned Architectural Professional with over 25 years of proven leadership and technical expertise delivering complex, high-profile projects across telecommunications infrastructure, high-end commercial, luxury residential, and large-scale remodels (Type I, II, III, and V construction). Holding a Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University and a Certificate in Green Building Design, I bring mastery of AutoCAD and Revit to produce, code-compliant construction documents and coordinated sets. Recognized for seamlessly bridging design teams (structural, civil, MEP, landscape), third-party reviewers, contractors, and clients through exceptional communication, delegation, and problem-solving. From systems-built construction to sustainable design strategies, I consistently drive projects from concept to completion on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Ishaan Pandey

Ishaan is an accomplished professional in Civil and Structural Engineering having experience of more than 8 years. He has experience in analyzing and designing a wide range of projects using various construction materials in accordance with the IBC and CBC.
His extensive portfolio includes analysis and design of telecom structures, commercial and industrial complexes, residential single-family dwellings, remodels, and seismic retrofits.
